Cultural practices include top dressing, vertical mowing, aeration and fertilization. In implementing the IPM program going forward into 2020 and beyond

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a process
that uses all necessary techniques to suppress pests effectively, economically and in an environmentally sound manner. IPM involves planning and managing ecosystems to prevent organisms from becoming pests. This requires identifying potential pest problems through monitoring, recording weather and pest population levels and establishing thresholds to make treatment decisions to reduce pest populations to acceptable levels. Management strategies may include a combination of biological, physical, cultural and chemical controls. Equally important is evaluating the effectiveness of the treatments.

The golf course’s IPM agent does not believe that there is any other information that is in the opinion of the Director that is relevant to the use of pesticides at Riverbend Golf Course. The Director has not notified the owner and/or operator of the golf course to include any other pesticide
